Technology Coordinator
Technology
The technology department provides all of the technology resources used in the Central Community School System. This includes hardware, software, network connections, communication systems, training, and maintenance at all of our schools and other sites in the district.
We are leaders in the area with 1:1 technology resources for our students. Every student in grades 3-12 has access to a laptop with Wi-Fi connectivity. Most of our classrooms are designed for the 21st century learners with teacher work stations which include a computer, projector, document camera, large screen, and an additional 4-6 desktop computers with Internet connection. First and second grade classrooms also have Interactive white boards. Each of our schools has a computer lab and instructor to help our students become responsible digital citizens.
Software programs allow the computer to be used in a variety of ways including: improving reading and writing skills; researching via online sources; enhanced multi-media textbooks; video editing; and student administrative systems, such as grade reporting and attendance. The administrative software allows all of our departments to function optimally.
Student learning is the paramount focus of our instructional technology department.
