Central Middle School is now a member of SkillsUSA, a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to insure America has a skilled workforce. A nonprofit national education association, SkillsUSA serves middle school, high school and college/postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
Today, we elected our first Executive Council. Pictured from left to right: Pyper Beavers (Secretary), Kolby Simpson (Treasurer), Kaeden Shows (Parliamentarian), Jaydon Garnett (President), Kaleb LeBourgeois (Vice-President), and Garrett Mix (Reporter). CMSSUSA will compete in the SkillsUSA Championships: Carpentry Competition. The state competition will be in Shreveport in March of 2023; a gold place finish will make us eligible for the National Championship Carpentry Competition in Atlanta, GA, in June 2023.
