On Tuesday, April 1, CMS students were visited by the Echo Dance Team from New York City. They provided a fun, high-energy performance full of singing and dancing, culminating in an important message of respect, acceptance, and perseverance.
Students enjoyed singing along and dancing with the group, then listened as members of the team shared their unique stories of how they overcame bullying and learned to focus on the positive about themselves and others.
Here's what some of our students had to say:
"Me and my friends had a great time and enjoyed how they played popular songs, along with the breaks between every few songs for the man's story. It was REALLY FUN!" and "The dancing was very good. They all had different lives in school which made it very interesting."
