All students have the opportunity to read, understand, and express their understanding of complex, grade-level texts (www.louisianabelieves.com). Students respond to these units by completing a culminating writing task, which builds throughout each unit. Writing based on The Writing Revolution and FIRE, foundational skills based on the Science of Reading, are also included in daily lessons.
