LEAP Summer Testing Information for Nonpublic Students
All students who enter grades 5 and 9 in public schools are required to pass the LEAP criterion-referenced English Language Arts and Math tests required by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. The Central Community School System offers LEAP testing services to nonpublic school and approved home study students in grades 4 and 8. Students must reside in the Central Community School System and plan to attend one of the public schools withing our system.
The LEAP test will be administered this summer on June 28, 29, and 30 at Central Intermediate School. There will be a $35.00 fee which must be paid in full at registration in a money order, cashier's check or cash form. Money orders or cashier's checks must be made payable to the Central Community School System. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Parents will be reimbursed in the fall once the student has been registered and attends one of our schools within our system.
CCSS shall offer LEAP summer remediation and testing or retesting to 4th and 8th grade nonpublic and approved home study students who fail to score at the required LEAP achievement level(s), or did not test in the spring but wish to prepare for the summer administration.
LEAP Remediation will be held at Central Intermediate School, Mon. - Thurs. beginning June 1 - June 30.
There will be a $100.00 fee which must be paid in full at registration in a money order, cashier's check or cash form. Money orders or cashier's checks must be made payable to the Central Community School System. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Parents will be reimbursed for the $35 test fee in the fall once the student has been registered and attends one of our schools within our system.
4th grade and 8th grade students will take the test at Central Intermediate School, 10510 Joor Road. Students must arrive at the testing site at 7:00 a.m. Testing will begin at 7:30 a.m. Parents are not allowed in the testing area.
Students may be picked up at 11:30 a.m. The test, however, is not timed.
The registration deadline for LEAP testing or remediation is Friday, May 21, 2010 unless available seating is filled prior to that date. You may register at the Central Office at 13421 Hooper Road, Suite 6, Mon.-Fri.,May 17-27 from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Please print and fill out the form below.

Uniform Policy: All students are to wear their school uniforms. Non-public school students are also to wear their school’s uniform as well. All home study students are to wear maroon shirts, and khaki slack, shorts or skirts.
